Yesterday bright and early we got Logan out of bed and headed to Mt. View Hospital... all four of us:) Logan was scheduled to have his tonsils and adenoids out and have ear tubes placed. He had no idea what was going on which was so sad:( When they took him back for surgery he was so very sad, broke our hearts.
The surgery only lasted about twenty minutes and then the doctor came and talked to us. He said both ears were full of fluid, his tonsils were very large and his adenoids were infected, poor little guy. After a little bit we got to go see Logan, he was so upset and all he wanted was Dad:)
They moved us to his room soon after that.
Brett got to take the ride on the bed too! Brett laid in bed and held Logan all day and all night:)
All day Thursday was a bad day. Logan wouldn't take his pain meds and was in a lot of pain. He would not swallow anything, not even saliva and was drooling everywhere:(
Finally at about 6 o'clock the doctor ok'd some pain meds through his IV (which by the way was in his foot and driving him crazy all day)
After one dose of Morphine in his IV he started to feel better. After that they started giving him oral pain meds that he took just fine! He slept all night despite the fact people were in and out of his room all night.
This morning he woke up ready to eat! It was so good to see him happy and eating:) When they pulled his IV out he felt like a million bucks!
And he is off!
Logan didnt want much to do with me, all he wanted was dad.
Then we got discharged to go home around 10:30 am!! Woohoo!
What did Kenzi do this entire time?? Was a perfect baby and did not even make a peep :) Slept through the night in her car seat on the ground next to the chair/bed I slept in:) And smiled at everyone that came in the room! She was just happy to be there for her older brother!
