Saturday Fun

I can't believe how beautiful the weather has been.  I keep waiting for that freak snow storm or something, but it continues to stay warm and sunny.  We headed to the Pocatello Zoo (we have never been there) to enjoy the nice weather.  It was a pretty good Zoo to our surprise.   There are some pretty steep hills you have to climb to get to some of the exhibits, but it is really pretty there, especially with all the Fall colors.

Kenzi hates the camera recently and will not give me a look or a smile.  You can see her disgust with me in the next three photos....

The Zoo doesn't really have exotic animals, just animals here in Idaho.  The Coyotes came right up to the fence and greeted us.

This is the new Grizzly Bear Exhibit.  It has a pond stocked with fish so you can watch the Grizzly bear fish.  He just slept the whole time we were there:(

Logan said take a picture of me getting a drink

:)

After the Zoo we had dinner at Red Lobster and the kids ate a TON.  It was a fun day!

Temple to Temple Relay

Saturday 6 am my friend Jennie and I headed to the Rexburg Temple to meet up with our relay group.  We got there checked in took a quick picture and our first runner started the first leg of the relay at 7:30.  The first leg was 2.8 miles, then the second leg was 3.5 miles long, third leg was 7.2 miles, fourth leg was 4 miles, fifth leg, my leg, was 6.1 miles, sixth leg was 6.75 miles, seventh leg was 4 miles and the last leg was 2.5 miles, bringing us to our destination the Idaho Falls temple.   In the end it was 37.2 miles and it took us just over 6 hours.  We had so much fun cheering each other on and running all morning.  I definitely will be doing it again next year.

Spud Day!

The weather was so perfect on Spud Day this year.  The morning started off early with the Spud Run.  My sister Shannon ran it this year too.  Her husband Kory ran the Half Marathon and rocked it!

After the race we headed to the Parade.  It was so warm already and the parade was long, but so fun and the kids got a ton of candy thanks to everyone helping them;) We headed to the Park for a free baked potato and to look around.  We saw a bunch of family and friends.  Once again Kenzi passed out in the stroller as we looked around.  Then at 3 pm we sat down the watch the Spud Tug.  It was awesome:)  When it got too hot we headed to my parents house and then headed home.  It was such a fun day, I look foward to it every year:)

Tator Tot Trot!

Ahh the Tator Tot Trot, how I love it!  I couldn't believe it was already Spud Day time again:)  I had been talking to Logan about his race that was coming up.  He was very adamant about doing it himself this year.  He didn't want anyone helping him.
The day of his race came, it was hot and Logan was with his favorites, Tysen and Kirra.  He wanted so bad to run with them, but we explained that he had to run his own race, which was the LAST one.  He patiently waited until his turn.  He was so excited and still didn't want me to help him.  He had to run 3/4 around the track at the High School.  He didn't want me to run with him or stand by him at the starting line.  I seriously thought he would get half way around and stop and go the other way or something, but I was wrong.  He started running and ran the entire time.  Half way through I yelled out to him, because I was running along side the track on the grass, he was a little perturbed I was so close and didn't stay back.  But he kept his focus and finished strong!  He was so so proud especially because he got chocolate milk in the end:)
