Before and After Pictures of our House

We (well mostly, okay only Brett) worked very hard on our first home.  He did everything besides lay the carpet and refinish the hardwood floors.  It was a ton of fun over the years:)

Big Changes...

This past week has brought many changes to our little family.  We have been so busy it is all a blur! We were getting ready to say goodbye to our first home and move in with my parents for the next few months before Brett Graduates in December.  Last minute we decided to rent instead.  We are grateful my parents, and Brett's parents were willing to take us all in, but in the end we felt it would be best to get a place of our own...mainly because our kids are destroctobots.   Last Wednesday it began, we started packing and packing and packing!  Brett borrowed a huge trailer to attach to his dad's truck to move all of our stuff.   We had also found a cute townhome  in Ammon on Wednesday that we really liked.  Brett stopped and looked at it before he headed to class, he said it looked great and filled out the rental application.  It was quite a stretch because we had to have our house completely vacant by the end of the next day and we didn't know where we were headed!  Thursday morning bright and early Brett, Logan, Kenzi and I started loading all of our stuff into the trailer.  Around 10 am the landlord called and said we got the townhome and to come and sign the lease and we could start moving our stuff in around 2pm!! Miracle!  Seriously we were so nervous, but so blessed in the end!

We hurried up to Ammon signed the agreement, headed back to Shelley, grabbed the trailer, and moved to our new home!  We unpacked for a few hours, we were so tired, then Barry and Rhonda came and saved us and finished unpacking the trailer.  Friday morning we headed over to First American Title to close on our house.  It only took 15 minutes, it was definitely bittersweet.  After we finished we headed to Shelley to drop the keys off at the house and say our goodbyes.  I will miss that little house, for many reasons, but mostly because it was our first.  Brett and I bought that little fixer upper just 6 months after we were married, we were only 22.  We brought both of our babies home to that house. We worked so hard on every square inch of the place.   I will put before and after pics on of each room soon;)  Logan had kind of a hard time, he loved that house, it's all he has known:(

Well we are adjusting well.  I really like being in Idaho Falls and so close to everything, especially work.  Now I can come home on my lunch breaks:)  Brett loves being close to school and work too, everything just worked out!  We are very blessed and thank Heavenly Father for watching over us:)

One last bath in the GREEN tub!

Logan and Kenzi LOVED playing in the trailer

Father's Day!

We had a great Father's Day!  I am so thankful for all of the Father's in my life!  Each one blesses me in so many ways!  Brett is the best:)  I couldn't have asked for a better person to spend eternity with.  I love his sense of humor and joking around with him, I love what a good dad he is to our kids!  We are just super lucky:)
(Great attempt at a picture;)

My dad is awesome too! I am grateful for what a sweet guy he is and how sweet he is to my kids! Kenzi has him wrapped around her little finger.  He would do anything for you and is just one swell guy!  My dad has such a tender heart! I love it.  He sure loves airplanes and being with family.

Also, my father in law Barry is wonderful.  Logan loves to hang out with Grandpa Hanson and always is asking to go camping with him.  Barry is a great example to us and is so loving!
Logan talks about the day we went and cut down a Christmas Tree with Grandpa Hanson on a daily basis.

I am so thankful for Father's Day and being able to have a special day for special people in my and my families life!  We are very blessed!

For the Record....

This will be a boring post to most;)  I just wanted to have an update in my blog of the craziness going on around here.

Last Monday afternoon Logan took a little spill off of his bike and hit his front tooth, no big deal right.  Well his front tooth chipped!  His little teeth are so crowded in his mouth his two front teeth are so tight that they created a cavity right in between.  That cavity was just the perfect weak spot that Logan hit on the handle bar of his bike, therefore chipping his tooth.  So I called Bryce, our dentist and uncle, to see if he could take a look at it Tuesday morning.  We had Rhonda watch Kenzi and we headed to the Dentist, thinking it would be this horrible traumatic experience getting his tooth fixed.  Bryce came out in the waiting room looked at it and decided to be the nice uncle and refer us to a pediatric dentist to get it fixed.  We scheduled an appointment with Dr. Higham for that coming Thursday.
Then on Wednesday Brett got a call for an interview for an internship in Idaho Falls.  He went and interviewed and they offered it to him on the spot.  I can't say how much of a blessing this little internship is and will be for Brett.  I am so proud of him and for working so hard.
Thursday we went to lunch as a family then headed to the pediatric dentist.  He looked at his front teeth and decided he would need to be mildly sedated to get it fixed and that he may have a cavity in both his back teeth on the bottom......what the!  We were so confused.  Brett and I have been crazy about getting his teeth brushed, we even would floss sometimes!  We asked Dr. Higham what may have caused so many cavities and he said soda or sugar drinks...which Logan has very rarely, then he said anything in a sippy cup besides water is bad after age 2, even MILK!  Those who know my little Logan know his sippy cup with milk or chocolate milk has been his best friend.  Well that best friend was slowly rotting his teeth!! I couldn't believe that milk could be a cause of cavities.  Needless to say when I got home all sippy cups went in the garbage.  Logan has asked for them a few times, but not really.  We got him some really cool Cars, Toy Story and Hulk cups to replace his beloved sippy cup.  So tomorrow morning, bright and early Logan and I will head to Dr. Higham's office for a little, very expensive, dental work.  Hope he does okay:)

So back to last week, Friday I had to work all day and when I got home we got ready for our Yard Sale the next day!  We got rid of a TON of crap and made some money doing it.  My neighbors brought some stuff over so it was a HUGE sale and busy from 8 am to about 1 pm.  Around 2 o'clock we called a local thrift store and they came and picked up everything we didn't sell....it was so nice to not have to haul it somewhere:)
Also, this past weekend Devrey and Chandler came to visit!  It was so great seeing them:)

Well today Brett is at his first day of his internship.  I sure hope he likes it! The next four weeks are going to be rough, especially for Brett.  He will work all day and then have school at night and sometime in there watch the kids while I work and get us moved out of our house!  We were suppose to close and be moved out by this Friday, but it got pushed back a week, which is kind of good, gives us a little more time to get things together.

Kenzi is just along for the ride!  She is hilarious and keeps us all laughing.  She loves to play with Logan and she LOVES her baby dolls:)

Well I sure hope Brett makes it through these last 4 weeks of his summer semester and all the other craziness going on.  Then he will have almost a 2 month break from school before he starts his last semester at the end of August.  Can I just say how excited I am to only have to pay the ridiculous amount they charge for tuition just one last time...ever!  Halleluiah!

Camera phone pics!

Pictures from our phones, not the best quality, but good pictures:)

I get random pictures like these from Brett when I am at work.  I just love them!   Brett said Logan wanted Kenzi to wear his clothes, Kenz was all for it!

The kids are in the backyard all the time.  Most of the time they get along pretty well.  I just love summer because they play so hard all day and crash at night:)

Grandma and Grandpa Hanson watched the kids while we went to dinner last night.  When we picked up the kids and got ready to leave the lawn was being flooded.  There was no way we could keep the kids out of it.   They had so much fun splashing around!

Aww Brett..:)

Kenzi has been super fussy the last few days, teething maybe?  Anyway she insisted on a chocolate chip cookie in each hand.  She thoroughly enjoyed both of them - there was chocolate all over her face, kind of hard to see in the pic:)
