O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

Today we went to Pine Creek Pass and cut down a Christmas Tree for the first time.  Grandpa Hanson came along and got one too!  I was a complete amateur and was unaware of the fact that I would be in over a foot of snow climbing up a mountain.  Ha!  I guess I just thought you would walk on a nice path to a huge area with lots of beautiful trees.  Needless to say Kenzi and I only lasted about 1/4 mile in.  I was tired and I was scared Kenzi was getting cold.  We headed back to the truck and let the boys pick out some good trees.

It was a beautiful day.

Kenzi and I were in the truck for only a few minutes when we saw Brett and Barry coming with their trees!

Logan loved every minute of it.

Aww... the Christmas train, Logan has been begging to get it out since July.

It was such a fun family day.  I have always wanted to cut down a tree.  The tree smell is so wonderful in our house:)  Lets just hope the tree lasts until Christmas!

Thanksgiving

Had to add the funny pic above.  Kenzi and Logan taking a bath together for the first time the night before Thanksgiving.  They both thought it was pretty cool.

We had a great Thanksgiving.  We ate at my parents and then headed to Brett's parents for dessert and the annual ornament painting.

Logan mostly ate ....broccoli, crazy kid.

Kenzi loved all the food:)
Especially the sweet potatoes and rolls

Aunt Christy gave out cute little Thanksgiving treats after dinner

Logan was really into painting his ornament this year, mainly because it was an awesome train, he loves that little thing, but is going to break it!

Carter was there!  Kenzi and Logan loved Carter

Seth's ornament on the left, Barry's on the right.

 Dustin's

Danielle helping finish up Amy's cute Christmas tree ornament.

Kevin and Tiffany's ornament.  Kevin's on the left appears to be a brown tree but is actually a pile of dog poop on grass with a corn star on top...ha!

And what is Thanksgiving without a little Black Friday Shopping!

The Logs

The other night in the bath Logan got a hold of my razor and went crazy on the right side of his head.  You can't really tell, but I can see the unevenness and it makes me laugh.  Logan is hilarious.  We are so thankful he is finally talking....well for the most part.  He sure has a lot to say.  Lately it is pretty funny the way he is learning to use the word 'me.'
"No, its a mes"
"Me room"
"Me bed"

New phrases that aren't so fun
"stop it"
"now"

He can finally tell us what he needs and seems so much happier and not so frustrated. Thank heavens:)

On Saturday Logan and Brett racked up the leaves in the backyard.

 Check out that hat hair:)

Logan is OBSESSED with Christmas and loves all the Christmas movies that have been collecting dust in the TV stand. He pulled them out the other day and loved The Grinch, but right now absolutely loves A Christmas Story.  Sometimes he calls in Santa Story.  We are excited for the upcoming Holidays!

Kenzington is 6 months!

Kenzington is now 6 months old!  I can hardly believe it!  She is such a fun little girl.  I love seeing her personality come through more and more everyday.  She is a very determined little girl and is trying so hard to crawl right now.  She still is a great eater and smiles all the time!
