Sad to see the summer go, but here are a few fun things we have been doing:)
Brett lets the kids do fun things while I am working:) Here they are painting their little boats:)
Brett had a really fun work party at Melaleuca Field. We had a BBQ and there were lots of fun things for the kids to do. They loved it!
The kids love eating uncooked ramen noodles....weirdos
The kids were invited to their first Birthday party for their little friend Jaylee. They had a great time:)
Kenzi put on a ton of sunscreen by herself one day....
She is still falling asleep late in the afternoon in funny places.
Just playin above and Kenzi watching dad mow the lawn. The kids have had a fun summer. We didn't do too much but it was fun to have a yard again and a place to play and watch the grass grow. Logan has said a few funny things I want to remember. The other day his foot fell asleep and he was so worried and said "my foot is all sparkly.. ouch!"
At a Chukar's Game the other night he was so excited to get some cotton candy, but he couldn't remember what is was called. He told Brett "I want the stuff that goes around and around and it's comfy in your mouth."
It started to hail and Logan came running out of our room yelling "Look, rock rain! Do you see the rocks?!"
Kenzi is always funny too and says some funny things like. "The baby in moms belly is getting big, big, big!"
Just a few days before Labor Day weekend I decided we needed one fun getaway before we said goodbye to summer. Logan starts school this coming week. So we headed to SLC. Friday night we went to the Gateway Mall and let the kids pick out a special toy. Kenzi built a Hello Kitty Build a Bear. Logan was way too cool for that so he found a sweet Ninja Turtles book at Barnes and Noble.
After we headed to our hotel and did a little swimming with Kirra and Tysen. The kids had a ton of fun. We went right to sleep so we could get up and head to Lagoon. I didn't sleep much because it was a pretty ghetto hotel so I was up and ready and getting everyone ready to head out. We ate breakfast at IHOP in Centerville then headed to LAGOON. The kids had so much fun! We rode the rides and played at Lagoon-a-beach for a few hours. I think the swimming may have been Logan's favorite part. We stayed at the park until 7:00 pm and then headed home. It was a fun little getaway that I think the kids really enjoyed:)
Bumper cars. Logan couldn't figure out how to turn the wheel right so they just spun in a circle while we yelled to turn the wheel all the way around. Then they both were offended when others would bump into them...hilarious!
Puff! Brett loved it! The kids...not so much.
Logan picked our these whirly pops after we were done swimming.
Kenzi took a nap for over an hour in the stroller. While she slept Logan went on the Log ride with Brett, he loved it and the trams with me. He also played a little game were he had to through a ball into a hole and try to get the ball to land in a colored hole to determine his prize. He didn't get the ball in a special colored hole, but the young boy running the little game was so nice and said. "Alright which prize you guys did great!" Logan got a little unicorn for Kenzi and a penguin for himself. He was so so proud he had done so well on the game:)
