The month of December is just flying by! Brett will be DONE DONE with school tomorrow! Tomorrow! I can hardly believe it. It has be one crazy year. At the beginning of the year I joked I wanted the year to go really fast and was counting down to Christmas 2012. Well I sure got my wish, this year has flown by!
So much has happened and we have really enjoyed having Brett around so much. I can't believe this part of our lives, the schooling part, is almost over. It has been a long haul. Brett and I just celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary. In those six years of marriage at least one of us has been a fun time student. I don't know what we are going to do with all of our free time in the evenings and weekends! We know education is important and hope that all of our hard work will pay off in the end;)
Our anniversary fell on a Sunday this year. So on Saturday we went to dinner then did a little shopping, while the kids played at Grandma and Grandpa Hanson's.
6 years~ seems like yesterday:)
The kids and I are home a lot without a car so we have watched many movies, many Christmas movies lately. Logan loves a Christmas Story, just like his momma. He quotes lines from it all the time. For instance while eating breakfast the other morning he said to Brett "listen jerk when I tell you to come, you better come" Brett started laughing so Logan said, " Oh are you gonna cry, cry baby cry" Yikes! HAHAHA!
Then last Friday night the kids and I went to the Christmas play and musical at Calvary Chapel and in the middle of the play Logan said to me " you used up all the glue on purpose!" Then he said "Scott Farkus!"
Yesterday consisted mostly of "not a finga!"
Oh how we love our little Christmas critter and movie junkie:)
Kenzi also enjoys her 'shows.' I don't know if she had a choice;/ She will sit and watch shows with her brother and loves to demand them even on short car rides.
Kenzi's little, or I should say large, vocabulary is hilarious. She is always making us laugh. She is putting sentences together and can really communicate well, which is wonderful since poor Logan had such a hard time:(
The other morning she said " Is Daddy at work?" She says "ready, set, go" and "hi Baby" a lot since she is so in love with little ones:) Kenzi is so sweet but is also a little terror sometimes. Brett and I are trying to recover from last night when she decided 2 am was morning and refused to go back to sleep until....who knows when, somewhere between 4-5 am. Whoo! But we love her tons and are so glad the funny little lady is in our family.
This is probably pretty boring to most, but I have really been thinking I need to treat my blog more like a journal then a place to record all of the 'fun' 'exciting' things in life. That is unrealistic for any of my posterity that will read this. Life isn't always fun, even though the blogs seems like it is. Life is HARD. Really hard. There are scary things going on all around. I am so scared for my kids and what this world is becoming, but I am so thankful for the Gospel and how much comfort it brings to me and my kids, I hope they always stay close to the Church and their Heavenly Father.
Last Saturday there was snow on the ground, not even very much. Logan was dying to play in it and eat it... So Brett bundled both Kenz and Logan up and headed out back. It was so fun watching them play and laugh. I love moments like this. I was so much in love with my sweet husband for being such a good daddy to our two cute kids that I didn't get a picture. I of course stayed inside cause it was COLD! :)
Sunday after Church Kenzi fell asleep on me while I was cleaning up and fixing dinner. She slept for over three hours! When she woke up we drove around looking at Christmas lights. Logan kept saying "this is so tool!" It was a good Sunday.
This week is of course flying and pretty soon we will be in the thick of all the Christmas fun! Saturday we have a Hanson family party and Brett's Graduation Party. Then Christmas Eve and Christmas! The kids are going to be so much fun this Christmas! I wrapped a few presents for others with the kids help so we could have some under the tree. They lasted a few days, but then I guess Kenzi forgot what she had wrap and opened a few. Then Logan keeps asking if he can open one??? It is pretty funny:)
Brett and I don't know what is in store for our little family in the next few months, but we do know Heavenly Father is looking out for us and knows what is best. We just need to have FAITH!
