North Pole Express

We had a great weekend.  Friday morning we headed to Utah to stay with my sister and her family in Tooele.  On our way Brett wanted to go look at a few cars he had his eye on from KSL.  So when we got into Salt Lake I had him just drop me off at a mall with the kids near where he would be looking at cars.  That mall ended up being the Valley Fair Mall.........Oh man what a mall it is.  For those of you that have been there know what I am talking about.  It was quite the experience, but we made it out alive and Logan was ready to get to Shannon's house.   Logan LOVES Shannon's house!  We got there and went with them to their ward Christmas Party, it was really fun.

The next morning Brett headed back into Salt Lake to look at more cars.  I stayed with Shan and her family and then at about noon we headed into Salt Lake to meet Brett and head to Heber City for the
NORTH POLE EXPRESS.
My parents spoiled the entire family with tickets to the North Pole Express train ride.  It was a lot of fun and so fun to be with the entire family.  We loved it and Logan was in heaven being on a train.

Thanks Mom and Dad!

Check out those matching pj's

We had cookies and hot coco with cream

This picture is kind of funny, this was Logan's face when Santa climbed aboard the train once we reached the North Pole.

Santa brought everyone a bell.  Logan was super shy when talking to Santa, but managed to squeak out that he wanted a Dinosaur Train.

The whole Fam!

We spent Saturday night at a Hotel in Salt Lake City, all of us, including my sister that lives just 35 miles away:)  All of our rooms were right by each other:)
Kenzi was not a fan of swimming, Logan loved it.

All of the Grandkids

Kenzi didn't like swimming, but look how cute she looked in her swimming suit!

Oh and by the way Brett did find a car or something that resembles a car:)  I will post a picture later of the little beauty we like to call Quasimoto.

Pictures to prove it

This had to be documented because it is so rare! Logan woke up from a long nap just before dinner was ready. I brought him to the table to his spaghetti and meatballs that I thought he would take a bit of and then run off like he usually does. We have kind of a hard time getting him to sit and eat, but lately he is getting better. Tonight was wonderful he sat and ate, and ate and ate! He had seconds and thirds. I almost took it away from him because I was sure he was going to explode, but he didn't and eventually finished his plate:) Lets hope it wasn't a fluke but the new norm for Logan:)

(Wipes handy cause he got a little crazy!)

Funny pic of Kenzi, Logan gave her his candy cane the other day, she loved it:)

Kenzi at 7 months old

Kenzi is growing like a weed!  She is such a happy baby and is starting to crawl everywhere!  She will soon be getting into everything.  She still loves to eat and will eat just about anything except mashed potatoes, crazy huh?  She hates the texture.  She sometimes says Dadada which is so cute and melts her daddy's heart.

This is Kenzi's face when he is mad.  She was done taking picture and let us know it!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

Today we went to Pine Creek Pass and cut down a Christmas Tree for the first time.  Grandpa Hanson came along and got one too!  I was a complete amateur and was unaware of the fact that I would be in over a foot of snow climbing up a mountain.  Ha!  I guess I just thought you would walk on a nice path to a huge area with lots of beautiful trees.  Needless to say Kenzi and I only lasted about 1/4 mile in.  I was tired and I was scared Kenzi was getting cold.  We headed back to the truck and let the boys pick out some good trees.

It was a beautiful day.

Kenzi and I were in the truck for only a few minutes when we saw Brett and Barry coming with their trees!

Logan loved every minute of it.

Aww... the Christmas train, Logan has been begging to get it out since July.

It was such a fun family day.  I have always wanted to cut down a tree.  The tree smell is so wonderful in our house:)  Lets just hope the tree lasts until Christmas!
Our ornaments for the year!
